Propylparaben
Propylparaben is a preservative in many water-based cosmetics, such as creams, lotions, shampoos, and bath products. It is the most commonly used material in the paraben family, and is often combined with other parabens.
It occurs as a natural substance found in many plants and per FDA regulations it is safe to up to 0.1% of the weight of the finished food. Propylparaben adds no odor or taste, and does not change the texture.
