Acide caprylique

L’acide caprylique est aussi connu sous le nom d’acide octanoïque. C’est un acide gras à chaîne moyenne possédant de puissantes propriétés antibactériennes, antifongiques et anti-inflammatoires.

Il est utilisé pour produire des lubrifiants synthétiques, des fluides hydrauliques et des lubrifiants réfrigérants. Ce produit agit aussi comme inhibiteur de corrosion et de rouille dans les antigels.

Il est utilisé dans les fluides pour le travail des métaux comme solubilisant des huiles minérales.

En cosmétique, l’acide caprylique peut être utilisé comme agent nettoyant, émulsifiant, masquant, parfumant, épaississant et agent tensioactif.
