Carbomer 940

El Carbomer 940 es un polímero de ácido poliacrílico reticulado. Es un modificador de reología eficiente para geles y cremas. Se utiliza a temperatura ambiente a niveles entre 0,25% y 1,5%.

Sus beneficios incluyen: alta compatibilidad con otros materiales; constructor y estabilizador de alta viscosidad; claridad; características de reología de flujo corto.

Su viscosidad se ve afectada por cationes, por lo que se sugiere la neutralización con aditivos como el EDTA tetrasódico.
